The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Bauchi State command, Commandant Nelson Oyerinde, on Wednesday, warned criminals in the State ahead of the 2025 Eid-el-kabir celebration, as he deployed 1,100 personnel to safeguard people’s lives and properties.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the command’s public relations officer, ASC S J Yusuf, and made available to newsmen in the State.
Oyerinde said that the criminal element in the state to either desist or leave the state because they will face the law if caught doing criminal activities.
The commandant said that the main reason for the deployment is to make sure that Bauchi State is safe for the forthcoming Sallah celebration, as declared by the federal government, slated for 6th and 9th June 2025.
He further said that officers and men deployed for the operations were drawn from various departments, units, area commands, and divisions of the command across the state.
According to him said “This is to make sure that lives and properties of people in Bauchi state are safeguarded and protection of critical national assets and infrastructure is ensured throughout the state.
The state commandant, Nelson Oyerinde rejoices with the Muslim faithful in the state and wishes them a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration to come on Friday.
