The Bauchi state governor elect Barrister Mohammed Abubakar and ousted Yuguda have met and constitute a high powered transition committee ahead of May handing over
The meeting wasattended by the Deputy Governor-elect, Engineer Nuhu Gidado, and the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Mahmud Maijama’a, Chief of Staff Government House Tanko Y. Dutse, Principal Private Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Adamu Alkali and the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Uba Nana.
This was contain in a press state email to universal reporterssign by the out going SSG Alhaji Mahmud MaiJa’ama said, the committee is saddle with the smooth handing over of power to the Governors elect
According to the statement, the committee is to point outthe modalities,framework and arrangements for an orderly transition, and at the end, it was resolved that the transition committee to be set up by the Governor-elect to enable itwork hand in hand with a similar committee already set-up by the outgoing government, with a view toproviding comprehensive information about the status of activities of all Ministries, Department and Parastatals of government.
The committees will also work towards a seamless and orderly transition from now, culminating in hand over on May 29th, 2015
