Governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir of Bauchi State performed the Commissioning ceremony of thirty (30) new Toyota Hiace Buses meant for Yankari transport cooperation in order to ease transportation in the state and across Nigeria.
The governor who while commissioning the new buses at the Yankari motor park in Bauchi, said that the buses wi help the good people of the state to move from one State to another by paying less.
“The good people of Bauchi State have done so much for me. Without you I would have not become senator and governor for consecutive two terms”, he said.
Bala noted that his administration will not stop the thirty buses,but will also buy new tricycles and motorcycles and distribute them to youth to enable them to become self-reliant.
“This is a key part of our strategy to ease the impact of fuel subsidy removal on our esteemed citizens, particularly our hardworking students.
“Our goal with these buses is not just improved mobility but to foster economic growth, open up Bauchi state for more business opportunities, and create jobs. This is just one way we’re committed to tackling poverty head-on and ensuring our people have reliable, affordable transport”.
Adding that ” Sustainability is our concern in Bauchi State.
The governor also Commended president Ahmed Bola Tinubu for a good discussion with the Nigerian governors about the palliatives that will be given to every State across the country.
“My administration will always prioritize the sustainability and advancement of our transport sector. Adding that “I’m immensely grateful for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s initiatives that strengthen the relationship between Federal and state governments for the betterment of Nigeria.
He promised the people of Bauchi State that all the palliatives will be used for the betterment of Bauchi State.
On his part, the general manager of the Yankari transport cooperation, Alhaji Muhammad Jibrin Zwall shows appreciation to Governor Bala for his doggedness of work to the park.
Zwall promised the governor and the good people that by God’s grace the cooperation will take good care of all the buses brought to them, adding that the cars will be transporting people from Bauchi to other states across Nigeria at affordable prices.
