A Lecturer at the Bauchi State College of Education Kangere, Comrade Samu Haruna over the weekend re-elected as the Chairman of the Zaar Youth Development Association (ZAYODA) Bauchi branch.
Comrade Samu Haruna is the former Deputy Dean School of Sciences and the current mathematics head of department (HOD) in the Adamu Tafawa-Balewa College of Education Kangere, Bauchi state.
Announcing the result at the Nakwada driving school, the Election Committee (ELCOM) Chairman, Comrade Philip David Phizo declared Comrade Samu Haruna as duly elected Chairman of the association having polled 633 votes to defeat his opponent, comrade Monday Daniel who got 259 votes.
Other newly elected officials include Stephen Luka Sara as vice chairman, Dinnigwa Samuel as Secretary, Dankani J. Adams as assistant secretary, Mbami Daniel as financial secretary.
The rest are Ketura Babas as treasurer, Maffi Ayuba as Public Relations Officer PRO I, Polmi Lumi as PRO 11, Kyauta Istifanus as Director of Social (DOS) While Felix who is unopposed for the position of provost Marshal.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected chairman of the Association, Comrade Samu Haruna thanked the electoral committee, and security personnel for the peaceful conduct of the election.
He also expressed their appreciation to the electorates who voted for them, adding that they will work hard for the development of Zaar land, Bauchi State, and Nigeria at large.
He therefore called on the aspirants who lost the election they take it as the will of God.
