Apparently miffed by the non-payment of Salaries, pension and gratuity aggrieved teachers, pensioners and workers in Bauchi on Saturday stage a massive street protest.

The protesters in their hundred started the protest from state secretariat to government House carrying placards with various inscriptions.

Among the protesters were women who lead the crowd saying that APC administration has failed the people after promising to look into the plights of its citizens?

The protesters were heard saying Governor Abubakar should resign as he is not in the position to heal the wounds of its citizens.

According to them, there is no iota of truth when government is conducting verification five times without paying those already verified.

A source confided to newsmen that Governor Abubakar had allegedly put the state funds in his fixed deposit with the UBA Bank for profit, yet leaving workers in poverty.

Hussaina Abubakar a worker lambasted that its wrong as a married to sleep in office from Toro LGA just for verification explaining that his children has be withdrawn from school.

During their protest, this medium learnt that posters and bill boards bearing the Governor’s pictures were destroyed.

It could be recalled that pensioners had recently protested against the governor.
