Bassa LGA Never Experienced Anything Crisis, But We Have Seen Unprovoked Attacks -Hon Chindo Gona

The Executive Chairman of Bassa Local Government Council, Hon Chindo Gona has disclosed that the council has not engulfed in communal clashes with any group, but what we witnessed was unprovoked attacks in villages where innocent people are been a massacre.


We don’t know where the attackers come from they are faceless, we are happy that peace is gradually returning to Bassa LGA which series of meetings with stakeholders, traditional rulers, and security personnel.



He stressed that the just-concluded congress, primaries was s true reflection of the voice of the electorate with a call on the people to support the Lalong administration for better service delivery.


Speaking in an interview with our correspondent on the challenges of chairmanship, councillorship primaries in Bassa LGA, Hon Gona expressed confidence in the APC government from the federal, state, and LG levels.


He said, well the recent primary election that took place to me was successful because there were no crises, there wasn’t a problem arising from any local government primaries only that you cannot say you cannot disclose our diverse interest differences in camp.


Hon Chindo Gona reiterated that there was no crisis so we assure you that we had a successful election without any rancor.


According to him, they didn’t experience anything the conduct of the election was free and fair and God gave it to the popular candidate whom he is destined by God the APC ticket.


Chindo described his relationship with Engr Stephen Igmala as that of the local government, and party interest which they maintain cordial relationship right from the inception.


Chindo says, “I know him for long he has been a very nice man who can’t change from the time we met as friends so we shall work together to achieve a common goal”.


He explained further that peace is gradually returning to Bassa LGA which he attributed the successes to God Almighty for the return of fragile peace.
