The All Progressive Congress Gubernatorial candidate, Rt Hon Simon Lalong has raised alarm over the rising debts profile of Plateau state under the governor Jonah David Jang.
Bar. Simon Lalong slammed the Plateau state governor Jonah Jang for borrowing the sum of 9 billion naira from Islamic bank without the House of Assembly approval.
Lalong stated this during the media forum of the correspondent chapel of NUJ of Plateau state council for candidates of all political parties in Plateau state at NUJ secretariat yesterday.
The APC candidate demands to know the amount of debts that will be left to the incoming government after 2015 election.
He advised PDP to stop complaining on the INEC card readers but learn to accept that this is not business as usual to perfect rigging and remain in power.
Lalong urged governor Jang to ensure that he knows the different between INEC and PLASIEC which he has been using to annul the result of Local governments in the state.
He also emphasized the need for Governor Jang to embark on a trip to INEC office headquarters and verify whether he was engaged in double registration so that they will bring out the original copy for him to avoid unnecessary claimed.
According to him, the governor for the past eight years has disconnected government from the traditional institutions, the governor hatred between the people by using divide and rules.
Speaking further on the challenges of education in the state, he said government has neglected teachers without salaries and the Solomon Daushep Lar University, Bokkos 5 different vice chancellors in 8 years under the present regime.
Lalong noted that about 81 billion naira SURE-P funds is yet to be access by the people of  the state since the federal government introduced the program to help reduce poverty and unemployment in the country.
He accused Jang for appointing his son Yakubu Jang to oversee the ministry of land and survey without proper screening by the state house of assembly.
“I have no records of criminal tendency, Dariye remained the most transparent governor after his tenure of office, I may not punish family but to ensure that all state funds be return to government”, he explained.

Adding, please return the loots back to the state, I will not jail Jang but take our money back to the state so that we can pay workers’ salaries.
