Baba Alakyo, Ombatse Chief Priest Is Dead- Al-Makura

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has confirmed the death of the chief priest of Ombotse, Eggon militia group Baba Alakyo, The Governor stated this during the distribution of relief material to twenty seven (27) communities ravaged by communal clashes in the state.

Al-Makura disclosed this while listing the names of the crisis-ridden communities, the open confirmation by the Governor restored hope and relieve to people within the vicinity of the Alakyo community.

The Governor read riot act to his antagonist, Saying Government would deal decisively with individuals or group of individual blackmailing his administration for cheap recognition, He in addition promised to step on toes of people he declared busy body.

The Governor allocated three hospitals on wheels to some communities in the hinterland, he listed the benefiting communities to include the crisis-stricken Odeni Magaji, Iggah and Arikya communities, He said the hospitals on wheels was meant to replaces conventional hospitals.

“The benefiting communities will enjoy four hours clinical services ,Al-Makura continued that the medical team would be convey on chopper to the hard-to go areas, He further opined that the medical team would rendered services on Tuesday——-Thursday of every week.

Al-Makura disclosed that utmost attention would be accorded to the rehabilitation of demolished primary healthcare in villages, He however donated 27m cash to the affected and benefiting communities including Fulani communities.

Items donated to the crisis communities include 480 bags of cement,1600 timbers,80 mattresses,30 rubber mates,30 bags of rice, beans, maggi and other consumable items and drugs worth millions of naira to each of the communities.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura called on the affected communities to bequeath a legacy of peace, neighbourliness, saying the state Government has taken a holistic approach to avert further occurrence of skirmishes of all sorts.

He appealed to traditional rulers and political appointees’ saddle with the responsibility of distributing the items donated to the end users to ensure diligence and fear of God to carry out the assignment bestow on them.
