Attacks On Churches: Nasarawa CAN Calls  On FG To Restructure Security Apparatus

Disturbed over the intermittent killings and maiming of Christians in Adamawa, Plateau, Venue, Nasarawa and other States of the federation to restructure it security apparatus for optimum results.,

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Nasarawa State chapter appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to as matter of urgency restructure the nation’s security for the interest of its citizenry.

Bishop Joseph Macin hinted shortly after a peaceful protest against the gruesome killings of Christians in the country, a protest held in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

Adding that Christians are been targeted in the their places of worship

“Every time Christians are attacked we are told it is by unknown gunmen who are these unknown gunmen and who are their sponsors?

CAN accused FG for her inability to nip the prolonged and unabated cleansing of Christians in the bud.

Saying the responsibility of any responsibility government is to protect the lives and properties of its citizenry.

“If indeed there is is no hidden agenda, why has the government failed in providing adequately security to Christians?

He lamented the way and manner Christians are killed in churches “In Benue state two priest were killed in  a Church along with many  worshippers, if one may asked “does church look like a grazing land ?.

No then what are the killer herdsmen looking for in a Synagogue?.

“The story of Miss ‘Leah is still fresh, she was abducted alongside with Muslim students at the Dapchi but has not been released because she is a Christian “.

Calling on the Federal Government to effect the releases of Leah so as to enable her continue with her studies.

“We demanded that Government must be sincere to defend all Nigerians irrespective of religious inclination.

CAN prayed for peace and normalcy to return to the land.
