The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Wazirin Adamawa has received over 25,000 members from the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State.
During his visitation on Wednesday in Bauchi to welcome them to the PDP, said that ” we are in Bauchi not for political campaign but to welcome our people that was in another party.
He urges the decampees to do the needful for the success of the PDP in the forthcoming general election to come in 2023.
He added that ” we are strong, largest and there is no political party than the People Democratic party PDP” Atiku.
Among the decampes were the former deputy governor of the state which was from the APC, Arch. Audu Sule Katagum, the speaker Bauchi State House of Assembly Hon. Abubakar Y. Sulaiman, Hon. Faruk Mustapha who was the APC gubernatorial aspirant in the just concluded primaries, Hajiya Amina Manga who was a former APC National North East women leader and others.
In his part, governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir expressed happiness to the presidential candidate said ‘ you are a father to many.
Bala promised to work with the decampees and mobilize the Bauchi State electorates to the presidential candidate ahead of the forthcoming general election in 2023.
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Arch, Audu Sule Katagum said that ” we have left the leaf and catch the branch now”
The former deputy governor further said” We must work hard for the success of the people Democratic party PDP in Bauchi State” Katagum.
