Princess Rukayya Atiku Abubakar who is the wife of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and wife of the Bauchi State governor Hajiya Lami Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir had a town hall meeting with the PDP Women of the North East in Bauchi State.
The meeting held on Wednesday at the multipurpose hall in Bauchi, discussed how the forthcoming general election of 2023 will be.
Rukayya Atiku Abubakar said that they are in Bauchi State to solicit the support of the women in the North East to vote for the party candidates from up to down in the forthcoming general election to come.
” Am from the royal family, we know how leadership is and promise that my husband Alhaji Atiku Abubakar the Wazirin Adamawa will not and never fail Nigerians if elected as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”
In her own part, the wife of the Bauchi State governor Hajiya Lami Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir showered deep appreciation to Princess Ruqayya and the women of the North East for choosing Bauchi to be the center of the town hall meeting.
Hajiya Lami Bala said that the votes of the Bauchi State Women belong to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and governor Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.
Speaking during the town hall meeting, Honorable Zainab Adamu Julde who is the Zonal Women leader, North East promised on behalf of women to fully support the People Democratic party PDP and all of its candidates for the success of the party in the forthcoming general election.
He added that ” we will continue to mobilize and educate women for the people Democratic party to witness achievements since the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has failed woefully to bring development in the country.
