Armed Robbers Break Into Nasarawa Ministry Of Finance Ministry Carts Away Millions Of Naira

Armed robbers broke into Nasarawa State Ministry of Finance and Economic Development and carted away millions of naira at gunpoint amidst the presence of men of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defense Corp and ordinary guards.

 

Eyewitness from the Ministry said from the window of his office spotted armed robbers rushed into the Ministry trailing their victim from one of the banks after making transaction and reverse at high speed ordering the Deputy Accountant,

Agyaragu to hand over a Ghana most bag to them containing huge amount of money.

 

The cashier of the Ministry, It was gathered escaped by the whisker while the Deputy Accountant who resisted the request of the armed robbers by raising alarm sustained degree of injuries and was hospitalized at an undisclosed hospital.

 

Another eyewitness from the Ministry of Women Affairs said the gunshot scared people who were seen running Helter-skelter while NSCDC Attached to the vicinity of the office of the Accountant General run away.

 

The State Commissioner of Finance and Economic Development, Haruna Ogbole could not be reached for comment at press time as top Government functionaries were said to be in a meeting.
