Arise And Vote Wisely

INEC, Nigeria’s electoral umpire has just lifted ban on campaigns ahead of 2019 general elections. In other distant lands and climes, political actors and politicians seek political offices to create and generate wealth for the country to benefit the citizenry but the reverse is the case on our part of the globe as many contenders see political office as a place to amass stupendous  wealth, metamorphose themselves to tin-gods while the bulk of the citizenry thrive on dirt and dirty surroundings.

 

This is a total departure from reality, in fact a gross departure from how things are done in sane climes.

 

Today, there  is no denying the fact that we are passing through the darkest part of our nation’s night   foisted on it by a cast of neophyte actors which the ruling party parades. That Nigeria is in terrible state of decadence is not in dispute   as things, you will agree with me continue to fall apart in rapid succession.

 

The economy is in shambles which is clearly evident with no policy in place to create wealth and regenerate the country.

 

In my countless adventures around the world never have I seen a stiff-necked people who have abandoned themselves to despair and chosen to remain under a permanent subjugation.

The race to correct these debilitating anomalies has just begun  and it is only for us to join forces with true progressives  to salvage our country  and reposition it on the path to greatness, economic growth, development  and prosperity by making sure credible leaders are elected.

 

We have spent too much time brooding over the mistakes of the past without taking urgent steps to correct these blunders and and plan for tomorrow. This ought not to be after all!
