The Arewa Youth Forum has accused the Northern governors of doing little towards the stamping of insurgence in that part of the country,  the forum statement was issued by the Mallam Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu  the chairman of the forum, on Tuesday when the forum paid an official visit to Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State.
Speaking further he said the issue of insecurity ravaging the North Eastern States has link with northern leaders, as they seem not to be taking the issue serious in order to bring back the insurgence to its end.
The forum stated that time has come for Northern leaders to arrest the situation which is bent on seeing the collapse of everything in the North; it also urged the Northern elders and governors to unite themselves so as to bring an end to menace of the Boko Haram in some part of the North Eastern states.
According to the chairman he said that poverty is also behind the establishment of Boko Haram, as he said; “if you look at it critically those who found themselves into Boko Haram are there due to abject poverty,” he said.
Another member of the Forum Malam Sani Lere said that the appointment of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, as the Chancellor of Kafin Hausa University is deserved and acceptable honour as he is a leader and a father as far as Nigerian politics is concerned.
Commending Governor Lamido, he created and is going to leave a lot of legacies in the state, as they said that  those whom are willing to contest for governor seat in the state in the next coming election must prepare well  to clinch the ticket.

Responding Governor Lamido urged the forum to maintain their status and urged them not to be allowed to be used by people and politicians as that will mean that the association will lose its glory and integrity.
