Appointment Of Committee On Palliative To Cushion The Effect Of #COVID19

Following the outbreak of COVID-19 and its resultant consequences on the overall economy of the state and the need to augment the efforts of the State Government, His Excellency Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has approved the constitution of a State Palliative Committee to cushion the effect of #CoVID19 in Bauchi State.

 

The Sixty – Six Member palliative Committee has the Emir of Bauchi Alh. (Dr.) Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu CFR as its Chairman and other members drawn from the Political Class, Religious Leaders, Business Community, Seasoned Administrators, Union Leaders and Philanthropists among others.

  1. The terms of reference of the Committee shall be:

 

  1. To source for assistance in kind and in cash from well-meaning members of the Public, Corporate Organizations, Government Agencies and International Donors;

 

  1. To distribute all sourced palliative materials and money to the needy citizens of the State as fairly and equitably as possible;

 

  1. To discharge any responsibility as may be referred to it by His Excellency, the Executive Governor, from time to time.

 

  1. To submit periodic progress report to the Secretary to the State Government on a weekly basis, while final report after the State is declared free COVID-19.

 

  1. The Committee will be inaugurated by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, CON , on Monday 27th April, 2020 by 12:00 noon at the Command Guest House, Bauchi.

 

  1. It is hoped members of the Committee will bring their wealth of knowledge and experience in the discharge of their assignment.
