No fewer than two persons sustain various degrees of injuries from gunshot in Lafia,The Nasarawa state capital and are lying at the intensive care of Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, The attackers it was leanrt are supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
The trouble started as thugs in regalia shot sporadically in the air frightening people at the outskirts of Lafia, This lead to an all for-free fight by the supporters of All Progressives Congress and APGA followers, It took the timely intervention of Joint Security Operatives to quell the upheaval.
The state Governor,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura blame a governorship candidate for  fomenting the trouble, The governor speaks tough on the intensifying spate of criminality and political thuggery in the state, Cautioning trouble makers and their sponsors to give peace a chance.
He reiterated that his aspiration was not to shed the blood of innocent people in the state, He also expressed displeasure over the intimidation of ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The governor expressed displeasure over the inaction of a governorship candidate to allow his supporters wreak havoc to people in the state,The governor stated this at a peace parley organized by the security chiefs in the state,Al-Makura further uncovered that one person was stab to death in Bukan Kwato  community of Local Government in the last election.
Also speaking, The governor candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Yusuf Agabi expressed shock over the increasing rate of criminality in the state especially at the volatile Nasarawa South senatorial district appealing to security chiefs in the state to do more.
“The security of lives and properties remain the key objective of a leader, calling on PDP supporters in the state to remain calm and resolute during and after election,’’my quest to governed Nasarawa state is not a do or die affairs”.
The governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the state,Hajiya Aisha Ambaka in her speech called on politicians to accept defeat at all times, Adding that winners and loosers must ensued in any contest, Ambaka  was represented by her running mate .
The state gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance,Labaran Maku also expressed dismay over the amassed attack  on his convey by people suspected to be APC and PDP followers in the state, calling on the security agents to accelerate action by bringing the culprits of the atrocious crime to book .
The state chairman of the party, John Amako maintained that the convey of the governorship candidate of APGA was attacked at different locations in the state,The area according to him includes Kwandare,Mararaban Karu and Lafia, He also dissociate devotees of APGA from the recent attacks on peaceful people at the suburb of Lafia.
The state commissioner of police Sani Mohammed commended the governorship candidates and stakeholders in the state for ensuring peaceful conduct of election,In another development ,The police in Nasarawa state has confided that five persons sustain degrees of injuries in Keana Local Government of the state following the outbreak of political skirmishes.
The Assistant Commission of Police,ACP Usman gave the hint during a stakeholders meeting at the state Independent National Electoral Commission, Also the representative of the State Director State Security Service assured all eligible voters in the state to go about their normal business, He stated this following a speculation of attempted attack to disrupt Saturday election in Doma,Obi,Keffi,Wamba,Kokona,Lafia.
He said  a sizable number of security agents has been send to man crisis flash point, The parley was well attended .
