  • Advocates for  Peaceful Poll despite Election Shift

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has unveiled that it’s only the All Progressives Congress that would salvage Nigeria from the clutches of backwardness, misrule, stagnation, agony and under development.
Speaking at Daddere during the elevation of staff of office to the monarch of Daddere, The headquarter of Daddere Development Area, Appealing to all and sundry to coo ‘operate with the Independent National Electoral Commission and the security agents to guarantee a level and hitch-free poll.
Notwithstanding the election shift by the Independent National Electoral Commission, governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura has advocated for the conduct of peaceful election come 28/3/2015 and 11/4/2015
Calling on APC followers in the state to vote the party from President to House of Assembly, The governor said his regime would accord greater premium to the traditional institution at all times.
He however opined that the state government has special interest and respect to royal fathers been the curator of the society, Adding that the elevation of traditional institutions would enable them to preserve our traditional heritage.
He called on monarchs in the state who are yet to benefit from the elevation to remain focused and obedient to the government in power, saying government is on top of the situation.
“More chiefdoms would benefit from this giant stride of my administration, He further said the confirmation of staff of office of monarchs would spur development”.
Al-Makura vowed to offer more dividend of democracy to the people of Daddere Development Area, He said he would accord importance to water and power supply, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura commiserate with the family of people killed in last year skirmishes.
He assured all IDP’s that abandone their houses since last year of safe return before the conduct of next month election.
“by next week relief material would be distribution  to all IDP’s  while building material  would be  distributed to all volatile community, governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura said the Community Based Conflict Resolution Approach is the last resort to all the ethnic and communal conflict in the state.
The governor gave the hint during the elevation of the staff of office to the Osuku of Obi from third class to first class chief,,Al-Makura hinted that all was set for the returning of all Internally Displaced Persons in the state.

He commended the traditional institution for  uniting the people of the state.
