An All Progressive Congress (APC) Chieftain, Hon. Jock Alamba has disclosed that human blood is sacred before God as he called on Nigerians to eschew violence killing of innocent women and defenseless civilians.

He said, issue of clashes between herders/farmers in Benue is a serious challenge to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Alamba stated this at his residence in Algadama of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state while speaking on the recent killings in Benue state and some parts of Nigeria.

He explained that the actions being taken by the federal government, he is hoping that that the herders will see reasons as to hand down their arms and come to the reality of dialogue.

The APC stalwart lamented that, his fear is that what is happening in Benue should not spread to the other areas of the country. “We must as people understand that in any conflicts that arise, it would involve innocent people who do not know anything about the issues being pursued either by herders or any other groups, the blood of the innocent people will continue to hunt them forever.

Adding he said, “anything that involves innocent people should quickly be avoided, my advice is that, the Governor of Benue state should quickly mobilize stakeholders to be able to generate fruitful advice on  how to curtail this crisis as he join President Mohammadu Buhari  to seek an end to such callous, barbaric killings in the state.

Speaking “I must say that anybody who has something to say on issues like this, l must have to be in the know on the ongoing before the crisis or the attacks”.

According to him, he is not in the knowledge of what must have transpired before the attacks, between the Benue states Governor, the Benue community and Mr. President.

He stressed that; “I expect that over the course of time ,the crisis started rearing it head ,the Governor and stakeholders of Benue state most have been on their feet .
