There are reports from Kwara state that a federal minister, Senator Gbemisola Rukayat Saraki, the Minister of State for Transportation, has been blocked from revalidating her membership of the ruling All Progressive Congress(APC).
It was gathered that the Minister was again at her ward today, but the registration officials were not available.
This was reported to be the eighth time the Minister was denied revalidation due to the non-availability of registration officials.
It was learned that party members at the award narrated their ordeals that registration officials have boycotted the ward since the beginning of the exercise.
” We have not seen them since the beginning of the exercise. Our leader, the Minister, has been coming almost every week, but the officials were not available.”, a party Chief at the ward lamented.
Today at the ward, it was learned that the Minister was speechless after listening to the litany of complaints from party members.
“She told us to be calm, that she will take up the matter”, another angry member told our correspondent.
