Gov-JangThe Former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Bar Olivia Dazyem under former Governor Jonah Jang has accused the APC Government  that  its lacks  vision and will to sustain the giant strides of the immediate past PDP administration  resort to engage in smear campaign.

The former commissioner who is now a legal counsel to Sen. Jonah David Jang in recent statement accused the administration of Lalong for none performance.

She explained further that some group persons who served in the first tenure of Sen. Jonah David Jang praised his first tenure but chose to denigrate the second tenure because they were dropped.

“We wish to state categorically that those who served under Sen. Jonah David Jang are not opposed to inspection of the previous administration’s activities. Our stand is that such exercise should be done within the ambit of the law, due process and fair hearing”.

We expect that as an administration that came into being on the “Rule of Law ” mantra its actions must be devoid of any semblance of witch-hunt, vendetta and the like. In the interest of justice, we aid that those actors in the previous administration be given the opportunity to defend their actions and/or inactions while carrying out their assigned duties and responsibilities.

A situation whereby Transition Committee transformed itself into an investigative panel is unacceptable.

The Lalong government should be bold enough to tell the Plateau people that it is setting up a panel to investigate the last administration. We are not afraid of being investigated, but do what is right according to the law.

Despite the misinformation, mischief and provocation by the APC Government in the State, we call on our supporters to remain calm, resolute and focused in their support of the PDP.  It’s just a matter of time.

The first issue raised by the Tyoden-led Transition Committee is that;” Day to day administration witnessed the grotesque monopolization of power by a clique and the personalization of authority and instruments of government.

For instance, there was an individual who was a jack-of-all-trades, who appropriated three titles to himself, each conveying separate and identifiable functions. He was a Statistician-General, a Salary Administrator and a General Manager all at the same time”.  You will wonder the relevance of this statement to the assignment in question. It was definitely meant to attack, smear and damage the hard earned reputation of Mr. Dagyat. How could Mr. Dagyat appropriate three titles to himself?

For the purpose of clarification, we make bold to state that Mr. Dagyat G. Pam, the appointee referred to, was the Statistician-General by appointment.

The Salary Administrator assignment given to him was ad-hoc and didn’t attract any extra salary. We challenge the APC Government in the state to furnish the general public with the agency where he served as the General Manager?

I sympathise with some people who attributes non existent issues to Jang as giant strides. Apart from Du network of roads let some one come out boldly and tell Plateau people which other road presumably constructed by Jang is motorable now. Experts in roads constructions knows that work on all
the roads will have to start afresh.
