APC Chieftain Pleads With Governor Al-Makura/Organized Labour To Shift Ground Over Labour Strike

With the lingering impasse between the Nasarawa State government and the Organized Labour over the payment of salaries and percentage payment of workers’ salaries, Abubakar Sandaji has called on the state government and the Organized Labour to shift ground for the interest of industrial harmony.

In a Sallah message, the Special Adviser to the governor on Revenue Generation pleaded with the state government to consider the plight of workers and rescind its decision.

He further appealed to the Organized Labour to consider the financial position of the country and the state, saying round table discussion is the only solution to the preponderance faced by the workers.

“The state is losing much in times of resources coming to the state coffers including other government businesses that offer essential services to the populace”.

The Organized Labour in Nasarawa State, it would be recalled went on strike for barely two months, the striking workers in the state are demanding for the full payment of their salary, increments.

Other demands are lack of promotion and payment of August, September 2016 salaries.
