The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Plateau State chapter, Hon Rufus Bature has assured all aspirants vying for elective positions in the state of transparent leadership and open doors policy to accommodate all without being biased ahead of the primaries.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, Hon Bature said that the decision was in line with the APC guidelines to enable everyone to participate actively in the electoral process.

He disclosed that the APC constitution wants to ensure that people are allowed to be part of the elections so the additional shift in the date of closing for the sale of nomination forms was due to the influx of people who want to participate via the APC constitution and INEC guidelines to allow all citizens to contribute.

According to him, APC is the biggest party in Africa so we want to ensure that people vote for the candidate of their choice.

Hon Rufus Bature explained further that the party is in agreement with the committee set up to reduce the number of APC aspirants to five so that the party can choose the best for the forthcoming primaries.

He stated that not all the APC aspirants that purchase nomination forms are qualified but there are candidates among candidates that can fly the ticket of the party to challenge the opposition PDP.

Hon Rufus disclosed why the APC State Secretariat was relocated to Kalwa house was to avoid gridlock and unnecessary accident on the highway.

We discover that there is no parking space for people and the Uwarewah House was too small to accommodate the influx of people and aspirants coming to obtain nomination forms with their supporters hardly gaining entrance into the building.

Bature said he operates transparent leadership that accommodates all categories of APC members and ensures that the party clinches the forthcoming general elections.

He revealed that as the state chairman his doors are wide open to discuss and fine-tune how new ideas to reposition the APC to win elections.
