The All Progressives Congress APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are at dagger drawn as the crisis between them has deepened them resulting to mild drama of verbal war over Christmas end of year celebration gifts.
The APC revealed that the Chairman of PDP ,Hon.Chris Hassan,Beni Lar, and Isaac Kwallu are seen as anti-Mutfwang government.
*In as much as it was bad for the people of Plateau State in terms of welfare, security and infrastructure development last year, the hitherto worshipful supporters of the PDP are reportedly ready for a show down with the Rayfield cabal this year.
In a statement made available to this medium SGD.Shittu Bamaiyi* Acting Publicity Secretary in Jos said according to impeccable sources, a large chunk of members backed by a powerful clique of the Party’s Chieftains, is battle ready to either redeem or destroy the Party in the State this time around.
The grouses of the irked members according to reports, include among other malfeasance, non -performance of the PDP led government, sidelining of active members of the Party, and holding Governor Mutfwang hostage by a group they call political neophytes.
The bottled anger, burst after the last Yelutide, when the “cabal” after allegedly collecting millions of naira from the Local Government Councils to buy rice for the people of the State but failed to do so.
It is further alleged that the Jang group is said to be at the receiving end, to extend that the Chairman of the Party Chris Hassan,Beni Lar, and Isaac Kwallu are seen as anti-Mutfwang.
What baffled and provoked thoughts among some of the PDP members, is the fact that despite the fact that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Dr Nentawe Yilwatda had hardly stayed long in office and other APC national as well as State legislators made sure that thousands of bags of rice were distributed to the people of the State, irrespective of political identity to celebrate the Christmas.
Probably, it was for this reason, that the Party Chairman hardly knows what is happening in the Mutfwang government, hence prominent Jang allies were denied the paltry bags of rice purportedly purchased for the Christmas festivities.
Due to this seeming neglect and well orchestrated campaign against the Jang allies, they have decided not go down without a fight from all fronts this year.
According to the grapevine, the key stakeholders of the PDP are determined to call the buff of the “cabal”, more so, when the party is fast losing the sympathy of the people of the State.
Consequent upon this, the PDP in the Northern and Southern zones, is fast losing steam and relevance.
It is evident in PDP now, things are falling apart, as the centre can no longer hold.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also issued a stern statement condemning the All Progressives Congress (APC) for its relentless interference in the affairs of the PDP and its continued dissemination of baseless accusations and alarmist narratives.
Reacting to the allegation Emmanuel Tuang Secretary Peoples Democratic Party Plateau State Chapter in Jos the PDP clearly reminds the APC, that they have been fully rejected by the people of Plateau State. The APC’s consistent attempts to undermine the democratic values and processes that are the foundation of our great party are unacceptable.
In what can only be described as a desperate effort to distract the public from its governance failures, the APC has resorted to unfounded claims, crying wolf at every opportunity.
It is disheartening to witness a party that was once in power resorting to fabricating baseless stories rather than engaging in constructive discourse. The APC’s ongoing attempts to sow discontent and confusion not only threaten the stability of our party but also reflect its lack of an actionable agenda to address the pressing issues facing our citizens.
The APC has become a conglomerate of unhappy individuals, with its Acting Publicity Secretary at the forefront, spreading gossip and rumours that detract from the joyous Christmas and New Year celebrations our people just enjoyed.
We call on the APC to cease its destructive behaviour and focus on the real challenges plaguing our nation today, such as economic hardship, insecurity, and social injustice. Instead of indulging in theatrics, the APC should listen to the cries of the people and work towards tangible solutions that will improve the lives of average Nigerians.
The PDP remains committed to the principles of transparency, accountability, and good governance. We urge the APC to join us in making meaningful contributions to state discourse instead of perpetuating division and distrust among our people.
We stand resolute in our mission to build a better Plateau and will not be swayed by the antics of those who seek to undermine our democracy for their gain. It is time for the APC to stop crying wolf and start addressing the realities and responsibilities of leadership.
Furthermore, when Shittu Bamaiyi runs out of ideas, he resorts to issuing press releases based on confused notions, one for the road beer parlour and peppersoup stories that do not exist. The truth supersedes everything. Shittu and the APC have demonstrated a pattern of negativity and bitterness.
For the record, the PDP and, indeed, the people of Plateau (and the world) have given great praise to the Mutfwang Government for restoring the true spirit and joy of Christmas during the 2024 to 2025 season!
If Christmas is about rice, we should ask the APC, which holds sway in Nigeria and chiefly determines the exchange rate of the Naira—and consequently the price of rice—HOW FAR?
Mutfwang provided FREE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES to multiple destinations this Christmas, a remarkable first of its kind!
We thereby employ the APC especially its publicity Secretary engage in dry season farming as it will keep him busy and productive than meddling in the affairs of the PDP
