Aniocha North Leaders Insist On Olejeme

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders in Aniocha North Local Government Area Wednesday described Dr. Ngozi Olejeme’s governorship ambition as a sign of good things to come for the people of Delta State.
Speaking during a strategic meeting with Dr. Olejeme in Issele-Uku, the leaders’ extoled her virtues, saying the most they could give the female governorship aspirant now was their support to enable her become the party’s flag bearer and governor in 2015.
“There is no better aspirant than Dr. Ngozi Olejeme to represent the Anioma consensus on the basis of her antecedents and track record. Olejeme is the best material from Delta North. She deserves our support” the leaders said.
Earlier, Dr. Olejeme told the leaders that democracy cannot march on empty stomach. She also said the NSITF has strategically position itself to make even greater contribution to human development in country.
Focusing on the common saying that charity begins at home, Olejeme said she created a lot of jobs for the youths in the state
Olejeme also gave a graphic representation of the changes that have taken place in NSITF over the years as she emotionally recaptured the trauma she had to go through when she was appointed chairman.
She however expressed delight at the progress so far made.
“Under my leadership, the Employees Compensation Act was passed into Law. This Act provides for an open and fair system of guaranteed and adequate compensation for all employees or their dependents for any death, injury, disease or disability arising out of or in the course of employment.
On her obligation to Nigeria, Dr. Olejeme said under her leadership, the Social Security Law came into existence.
 “I also tackled the issue of Social Security Benefit to the aged, unemployed and the physically challenged. Soon, those without visible means of survival will start getting monthly stipend from government”
She promised to pay special attention to education, health and youth employment.

The meeting was attended by top party leaders including Ogbuefi Nnamdi Mohanye, Hon. Jikeme C. Benjamin, Mr. Inogbo Monday Tony, Hon Anthony Adagbor and Mrs. Faith Onwuchei.
