A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Yahaya Kwande, has charged Nigerian youths to always remain calm, stopped the burning of party properties and use their Permanent Voters Card to kill out the Peoples’ Democratic Party(PDP), in the forth coming General elections.
The elder statesman stated this in a press statement, yesterday in Jos, following the burning down of two campaign buses of the PDP, and the subsequent arrest of some youths by men of the STF.
Kwande said: “Yes we are aware of the fact that Nigerians are in terrible situation, they are faced with a lot of hardships due to bad Governance, by the PDP, however, I am appealing on them to be patience.”
According to him every Nigerian most particularly the youths are suffering, their future is at stake and as such their situation deserved urgent attention for the betterment of their life and the future of Nigeria as a whole.
“I am calling on the attention of our youths on the importance of peace and orderliness, I am further calling on them to remain calm, and use their individual voters’ card to vote in the APC, and vote out the PDP,” he said. “They should be mindful of the fact that their votes are the bullets of which they should use to votes the PDP, out leadership.”
The elder statesman tasks the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to ensure that free, fair and credible elections are into play, in the General Elections.
Kwande emphasized the importance of justice, calling on the security agencies to ensure justice is done to all.
“I am told that some youths were arrested on Sunday, alleging that they have took part in the burning of the buses, therefore, I call for proper investigation of the matter, in order not make innocent People suffered from a punishments of crime they did not, commit,” he said
