Youth leaders under the platform of Amawom Youths Association, AYA , in Owerri Municipal Council, have jointly paid a familiarization visit to the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Hon.Comr.Sam Chijioke Udeh (Ezeumuokorobia).
Their visit which took place at the Union’s State Secretariat Owerri, on Tuesday, Dec.21st 2021, recorded a very cordial pleasantry from the office of the Youth President, Amawom Youths Association.
Speaking, the Youth Chairman, Comr.Engr. Chidiebere Emeribe, expressed satisfaction and delight to witness the well-deserved appointment of a core unionist as Imo NURTW State Chairman by the present Imo Government.
Emeribe, while speaking described the appointment of Udeh as the choice of the people especially, members of the union and road users in Imo State.
“We are here to show solidarity to your good office because some of our youths are members of your union, whereas many others have been fully engaged actively as road transport workers’ courtesy of your good will. We are happy upon your offer by the government of Shared Prosperity led by our Governor, Sen.Hope Uzodinma. We are here to synergize with your union as youths of Amawom”, Emeribe disclosed.
The Youth Chairman of Amawom however promised to work in partnership with the union to ensure sanity, decorum and peace on the road especially in Owerri metropolitan city, added that the youths of Amawom are strongly behind Imo APC led by their own brother and an illustrious son of Owerri Municipal, Hon.MacDonald Ebere.
Adding his voice, the Secretary of Amawom Youths Association, Prince Kelechi Njemanze, who in his few words supported the speeches made by his Chairman on partnership, promised to ensure the success of the union under the headship of Udeh, whom he described as “King of the Youths” (Ezeumuokorobia).
The Amawom Youths scribe therefore assured cordial relationship and synergy between the youths and the union in Owerri.
Secretary Njemanze while speaking, commended Governor Uzodinma for bringing back their ancestry heritage, Eke-Ukwu Owerri Market, which they described as their only heritage.
Reacting, the Imo NURTW State Chairman,Udeh, expressed delight to receive youths from Amawom, disclosed that the union under his mandate has empowered so many youths from Amawom and Owerri Municipal in general.
Ezeumuokorobia told the youth leaders of Amawom to always foster peace, assist the union to succeed and effectively help towards the fight against insecurity.
Udeh more so, enjoined the youths to at times converse for Governor Uzodinma and campaign for Imo APC.
