In an address presented by the AIFCE Provost, Dr.Dan Anyanwu, on the occasion of the ceremony, he expressed pleasure to welcome all of the newly admitted students for their successful entrance into the college.

“It is a great privilege for me as your Provost to stand as my first matriculation ceremony as the substantive Provost of this great citadel of learning”,Dr.Dan stated.

The Provost, while speaking thank God for granting them ( the students) admission to pursue higher studies in AIFCE.

He described AIFCE as a college with great positive history that stretches for over the decades consistently produced graduate-teachers and dominated the educational sectors of the Eastern Nigeria with our graduates who always excel because we strive to impact in them the knowledge, skills and character development needed.

He therefore congratulated the matriculating students for gaining admission into the college which he described as the best College of Education in Nigeria.

“It will be foolhardy to think that you can achieve excellence through examination malpractice, joining cult groups or flouting rules and regulations. Let it be known to you that exam malpractice of all kinds is considered a serious offence which can lead to expulsion. A word is enough for the wise”,the Provost noted.

The however said “we have many qualified lecturers to teach, direct and advise you. If you pay attention, you will gain a lot from them. We also have formidable disciplinary and anti-corruption organs to checkmate any act of lawlessness and exploitation on campus. Feel very bold to approach the SERVICOM and Anti-corruption Monitoring and Transparency units in the college, if you face any harassment”, Dr. Anyanwu submitted.

Adding his voice, the Planning Committee Chairman, Chief ABC Duruaku, expressed delight to witness a successful 41st matriculation ceremony of the college and enjoined the fresh students to take their studies very serious.
