Alleged Anti-Party: Why AA terminates 9 LGA Party Chairmen in Imo

The leadership of the Action Alliance, AA, Party Imo State Chapter led by the State Chairman,Elder Chief Anthony Uchendu Ahaneku ( Inini-Isu Gburugburu),in support of the Party Secretary, Hon.Jonathan Chidi Ubah,last weekend in Owerri, vehemently suspended some LGA Chairmen of the Party over an alleged anti-party activities and issues of gross misconduct.
This was made known to some group of journalists in the Owerri, after the emergency meeting of the party held at secretariat located along Concorde Hotels on Saturday, 23rd March,2019.
The State Working Committee of the party,also made it clear that they are not being suspended because of anti-party but also some other sundry offences committed by some of the Imo LGA Party Chairmen.
Concluding the chairman of the party,who further hinted that the party has set up disciplinary committee to look into their matter.
Some of the Imo AA LGA Party Chairmen affected includes:” Hon.Peter Igwe,of Ohaji/Egbaema LGA, Hon. Ifeanyi Okponwae-Eze,of Ideato North, Hon.Ikenna Okatta-Oru West, Hon. Ifeanyi Opara,of Owerri Municipal, Yossi Endy Nwanyanwu,of Njaba, Hon. Ifeanyi Ejims,of Ngor-Okpala,Hon.
Donatus Obiakor,of Nwangele LGA, Hon. Augustine Anyanwu, of Aboh Mbaise, and Hon.Augustine Ekemezie, of Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State”.
Meanwhile, the Imo AA State Party Chairman, Elder Ahaneku,has expressively condemned the political activities of those party chairmen and frowned at their actions which he described as against the interest of AA.
He said, “it’s very unfortunate that some of these chairmen suspended were adamant to words of wisdom even as he described the affected party men as those who lacked patience but rather decided to sabotage the party as there were series of complaints against them by their wards and LGA executives”.
Chief Uchendu, also noted that some of them were being queried earlier before the party’s decision on their suspension from the disciplinary committee.
