Hon. Francis Orogu, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Nasarawa state has acussed governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura for killing all functional state companies he inherited from his predecessor.

He said the state is losing chunk amount of money due to dysfunctional institutions, Al-Makura has nothing to offer the state, the opposition leader declared.

Orogu decried the increasing numbers of assets owned by Nasarawa state, adding that every assets of the state are gone in the name of progressives’ government.

The PDP chairman listed the ailing companies under the headship of governor Al-Makura to include the dearth of Nasarawa Publishing Company, the publishers of Nigerian Newsday, a weekly tabloid.

The opposition leader also listed the Comatose Nasarawa Investment And Property Development Company (NIPDC), the folding up of the State Transport Company, the Nasarawa “On the Move before it was renamed ” Nasarawa Express ” by the incumbent administration.

Hon.Orogu chastised the led APC government for the dearth of Lafia Hotel, saying the state has lost everything that would generate fund to the state instead just focused on the building of feeder or rural roads while workers welfare was relegated to the background,

The state chairman of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, Philip Tatari Shekwor could not be reached for comment.
