ALGON: Chairman IMC Oru-West, Okolieogwo Emerges National Scribe Security, Peace Committee

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, National Executive Committee, NEC, which is the apex governing and decision making body of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), have successfully held their routine periodic and iconic National Meeting, on last Wed.17th Nov.2021, at RADISSON BLU HOTELS, ISAAC JOHN, STREET, GRA, IKEJA, LAGOS STATE, and with a courtesy visit to His Excellency, The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Shonwo-Olu, at the Government House, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The National President of ALGON, Barr. Kolade David Alabi, presided over the sitting, with the 36 States’ ALGON Chairmen and Secretaries, superbly in attendance.
Numerous Sensitive teething Issues, bedeviling the various Spheres of Lives in this Country, were tabled and extensively digested upon.
The most critical Issue that prompted the establishment of a Committee, was Insecurity In Nigeria, which has claimed numerous lives and destroyed billions of Naira worth of Properties.
Eventually, NATIONAL SECURITY AND PEACE COMMITTEE was created, to proffer a lasting Panacea and acceptable Solutions, to the ravaging Insecurity in Nigeria.
Adm.( Hon).Chief Willie T.C. Okolieogwo FCIA “Ome Ka Odi Nma N’Oru”, Imo-State Chairman of ALGON, who holds meticulously as IMC Chairman, Oru-West LGA, was unanimously appointed as the Secretary of the Security And Peace Committee, with Alhaji Hon. Jingi Rufai, Adamawa State ALGON Chairman, as Chairman of the Committee and ratified by the National Executive Council members of ALGON at the NEC meeting.
Furthermore, the Powerful ALGON National Executive Committee (NEC), Proposed a National Security Summit and Scheduled it to hold tentatively, in the First Quarter of 2022, at the International Conference Center (IICC), Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
The Articulated Proffered submissions of Adm. Chief Willie T. C. Okolieogwo’s NATIONAL SECURITY AND PEACE COMMITTEE, after due consultations with the Office of His Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari GCFR, will be Presented for X-Ray by the ALGON National Executive Council and the Citizenry for the Public analysis and implementation.
Surely, these Selected 36 States’ Wise Men, who are holding sway, as the 36 States’ Chairmen of ALGON, Nationwide, are fantastically performing Great, in ensuring a Serene and Peaceful-Coexistent Nigeria, where the Citizens can be in slumber, with their 2 eyes subtly closed, pleasurably too.
The Highlight of the National ALGON NEC meeting at Lagos State was a Courtesy Call by these National ALGON Heavyweights, on the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Chief Babajide Shonwo- Olu, and earlier visits to Onigbangbo Local Government Council and that of Bariga Local Government Council, for a peer group assessment and evaluation mechanism, culminating in glamorous group photographs which the Governor snapped with these Executives of ALGON National Executive Council (NEC).
On that note, the people of Imo State have extended their collective messages of congratulations to Adm. (Hon) Chief Willie T. C. Okolieogwo FCIA, on your worthy cum Unique Appointment as “Secretary of the NATIONAL ALGON’s Committee- “NATIONAL SECURITY AND PEACE COMMITTEE “.
