Alamba, Tallen Eulogies Ex-Chairman John Oyegun At 80s, Described Him As A Pragmatic Leader

The National Deputy Welfare officer of the All Progressive Congress ,APC, Hon Jock Alamba   ,former Deputy Governor ,Deme Pauline Tallen have described the former Chairman of the party ,Hon John Oyegun who have clocked 80 years of age as a pragmatic leader that has contributed a lot  to the development of democracy in Nigeria .

 

Hon Jock Alamba ,”We congratulate you on your family as the national ex-official and stalwart of the APC in Plateau state .

 

He said, you’re a politician of high repute who have contributed to the development democracy in Nigeria showing that the hand of the Almighty God is truly on you . May your renowned brilliance not be eclipsed by greed and quest for selfish and personal aggrandizement?

 

Sir your record had indicated that you are a major pointer that politics today is tilting towards meritocracy and not god-fatherism.

 

Hon Alamba stressed that your service and  believe had demonstrated you  will continue to put the interest of Nigeria  first in all human endeavor .

 

 

A lot of trust and confidence has been bestowed upon you and you didn’t disappoint us   , Congratulations Your Excellency for clocking 80 years and thanks for your tenacity, steadfastness and consistent courage,he explained.

 

 

In a separate speech , Her Excellency a former Deputy Governor of Plateau State and now minister designate, Dame Pauline Tallen, salutes Chief John Odegie Oyegun who hits octogenarian status today, August 12, 2019.

 

Tallen said Chief John Oyegun’s journey in Politics is remarkable and worthy of commendation as he contributes immensely to the growth and stability of democracy in Nigeria.

 

Oyegun she added was the first Executive Governor of Edo State which was created in 1991, from 1992 – 1993, an elder in All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) and the first National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on 13th June, 2014 – June 23, 2018.

 

According to her , the political expertise and experience of Oyegun contributed a lot to the victory of the APC at the 2015 general elections where for the first time in Nigeria’s politics an incumbent president was defeated, and the party won most governorship, houses of assembly and National Assembly seats.

 

Tallen wishes Chief John Oyegun more happy and prosperous years ahead, sound heath and strength as he contributes to the sustenance and consolidation of democracy in Nigeria.
