Aisha Buhari Foundation The Only NGO Fighting Malnutrition In The Country-Jigawa Govt

Aisha Buhari Foundation a non-governmental, non-profit organization aimed at advocating for the wellbeing of women, Youths, and children in the country through intervention in health, education, and economic empowerment aimed at improving the implementation of the existing national reproductive system in the country, is working hard to unite people together to end the menace of malnutrition in the country.

 

This was disclosed by Hajia Fatima Jibril in a paper presented at MDI in Dutse during stakeholders meeting with government officials and various NGOs and CSOs in the state on how to address the issues of malnutrition in the country.

 

She also confirmed that the Jigawa State government has released the sum of twenty million Naira as its counterpart funding to fight malnutrition in the state, which is among the states in the country with a high rate of malnourished children in the country.

 

In his contribution the ALGON secretary who is also the council chairman of Dutse local government area if Jigawa State Alhaji Bala Yakubu Yargaba said all local government in the state will support the program all in a bid to tackle the menace of malnutrition, among the affected children, adding that they will never allow the program to fail in the State.

 

Also, the Director Hospital Service Dr. Bashir Ahmed who represented the Director Primary Health Care Agency said the State government is happy with the foundation for its initiative to fight the issue of malnutrition in the state.

 

He also appreciated the way the government is assisting and supporting children with the problem of malnutrition in the state where the State has introduced a program of Masaki Foundation across the 27 local government areas in the state.
