Agriculture, Power Supply Are My Top Priority Says Atiku Bagudu

Senator-Abubakar-BaguduKebbi state government says it is committed to completion of power supply project aimed at ensuring twenty-four hour power supply to all parts of the state.

This was stated by the state governor, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu when he visited power supply formations situated in Birnin kebbi Metropolis yesterday.

Governor Bagudu who went round power supply installations at mechanic village area, where a seven point five transformers was installed and that of the Bye-pass road including the Central power supply Eighty KVA assured that the job would be completed before the end of august.

He explained that, in order to ensure success of project, a total of one hundred and fifty, Ten MVA transformers, Two KVA transformers were installed in all parts of the state.

Kebbi state government has indicated its commitment towards providing job opportunity as well as creating wealth and increase in food production through Agricultural activities.

Governor Bagudu said during his visit to the federal capital, he confered with officials of the federal government and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on the agreement already entered into on modalities to providing funds to farmers in state with a view to increasing food production to feed the state and federation at large.

He stated that, while in Abuja he took part in the Governors forum where they commended president Muhammad Buhari on his resolve to assist the state government and also discussed issues of National interest, as well as ways to mobilize revenue including food production to empower people toward self sufficiency.

Bagudu also disclosed that while in Abuja he accompanied President Muhammadu Buhari on his visit to Benin Republic, where they participated in the independent anniversary of the country and subsequently border issues were discussed between two the Presidents, an indication that all pressing problems facing the neighbouring countries could be resolved amicably.
