The Nigerian Youths for Good Governance congratulate both Fela Durotoye and Mathias Baba Tsado (MBT) for availing themselves for scrutiny to produce an all-rounder youth to represent us at the highest and most respected office in the land for rapid socio-economic development of the nation with novel ideas and vibrancy.
In as much as we want a deep thinker and a very credible youth like Fela Durotoye to lead the nation in 2019, we appeal to Fela Durotoye to surrender his God-given mandate to Engr. Mathias Baba Tsado of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) for the following reasons;
The Zoning arrangement for the 2019 Presidential race favour any Northern candidate much more than a Southern Candidate, that is why most political parties have zoned their presidential tickets to the North.
It is on record that the South has produced former President Olusegun Obasanjo (8 years) and President Goodluck Jonathan (6 years) totaling 14 years of the 18 years in to Democratic rule from 1999 to date while the North will have ruled for 6 years including former President Musa Yar’adua’s 2 years and President Muhammadu Buhari’s 4 years (by 29th May, 2019).
We are thus appealing to Fela Durotoye and PACT to take the issue of zoning properly and seriously.
We the Nigerian Youths for Good Governance have researched and found out that the Action Democratic Party (ADP) is the third force and the third largest political party in Nigeria today.
It has political structure in the 36 states of the Federation and FCT.
The ADP contested the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Elections and came third and the ADP has presented Alh. Mooshod Olalekan Adeoti as the Osun State Gubernatorial Candidate with Prof. Adeolu Durotoye.
In Osun State give APC House of Assembly members have decamped to the ADP with de la creame of Osun Politics.
In Niger State, the ADP has five Gubernatorial aspirants and aspirants in all positions across the 23 LGAs of the State. In Plateau State there are four Gubernatorial aspirants and aspirants in all positions in the 17LGAs.
In Lagos State the ADP has Mr. Babatunde Olalere Gbadamis, as its ADP Gubernatorial aspirants and aspirants in all positions in the 23 LGAs of the State. The ADP has structure from the polling units to the ward, the LGA, the Zonal, the State, the National Zonal and the National levels.
With this structure in place, we are appealing to PACT to solicit Fela Durotoye good conscience and simplicity to allow ADPs Mathias Baba Tsado, who came third in the PACT election and from the North to fly the ticket of PACT in the 2019 Presidential elections.
With the ADP and MBT Structure across the nation, the prospect of Mathias Baba Tsado to emerge as the ADP Presidential Candidate is high thereby allowing the youths have their choice getting into Aso Rock and first try.
The level of acceptability of Mathias Baba Tsado across the nation amongst the young Presidential aspirants is second to none considering his nation-wide consultation and talks with youths and stakeholders.
You will recall MBT accepted defeat in the spirit of sponsorship and congratulated Fela Durotoye after the PACT elections.
This portrayed MBT as a man of humility, integrity, neutrality and sacrifice and these are qualities of a true leader.
These qualities are what the Nigerian Youths for Good Governance are after, they are found in abundance in both MBT and Fela Durotoye.
