Adamawa Politics: I Have No Regret For My 90 Days Stay In Office-Fintiri By Tom Garba,Yola

The former acting Governor of Adamawa state and the speaker of the state House of Assembly Rt.Hon.Umaru Ahmadu Fintiri has recalled the good days he spent in office as a transitional Governor of the suppose by-election that ought to have taken place on the 25th September, 2015 but was cancelled by a seating court in Abuja which brought Bala Nggilari as substantive Governor of the state being the then running mate to the ousted Governor Nyako.

Fintiri said his 90 days in the Dougeri Government House was full of good memories and never ever forgettable and considered those days as fulfilled days of great achievement as the record shown that the days, though few but touched my people’s lives in a most significance, ways that has even beaten my imaginations.”I wish anyone that is there to put his best to see that our state is better than I met it ”

Ahmadu professed this to press men shortly after he visited the Adamawa state PDP secretariat with some of his colleagues of the state house of Assembly to pledged their loyalty to the party leadership under Chief Joel Hammanjoda Madaki who has been facing a thread of removal from the party National working community (NWC)

“Initially we were invited by the party hierarchy especially those that want to contest and re-contest I felt as a loyal party man to show my solidarity to my colleques that are going to contest, as a group and as people we want to see how we will move our party forward in the which is aim of our visit to the state party secretariat.” Ahmadu said

When asked the authenticity of Chief Joel Madaki as the Number party Man in the state, the speaker inferred that is no something to worry about because the Chairman himself are working in consonance of the party’s  constitution

“I think there is no problem with the issue because the whole thing is working with one purpose which PDP to win elections in the state and we are still pleading with the party’s hierarchy to reinstate Chief Joel Madaki back before that hapens as a people and as a state we have to move forward, the person that has been there is one of us and has been deputizing Madaki which are one and the same people so they serve the same thing and purpose”. He added

Also the former acting governor cleared the air on the wide speculated rumor of him re-contesting the governorship seat  in the forth coming general elections of 2015 as against his former ambitions during the stopped by election

“I am cool and happy I am out to help my party achieve success in 2015 particularly my members colleques who are out to get voted in 2015,with those other five members who vying for the house of representatives. For 2015 I can tell you now I don’t have any ambition”. He said
