Adamawa PDP Crisis: Delegates Passes Vote Of Confidence On Chief Joel Madaki By Tom Garba,Yola

The crisis rocking the people’s Democracy party  in Adamawa state has taken a different dimension whereby the  delegates numbering 678 converged in Lelewal Motel,Yola described the party under the leadership of Joel Madaki as the most effective and result oriented form of leadership, having united the entire party members that they were  aggrieved base on the passed impunity they experience during the Kugama leadership, sieved out the bad eggs and give good sense of direction to every party member, ensuring fair play and providing leveling play  ground to all aspirants.
 The delegates in hundreds chanting “sai Joel” expressing their total loyalty and a sign of solidarity to the suppose removed party chairman of the state,
“We are here to pass a vote of confidence on Chief Joel Madaki the only known and existing PDP chairman in Adamawa and we also give our confidence to Governor Bala James Nggilari for pioneering the party affairs successfully. This is my move”. Said Barrister Jenwe,it was led to Alh. Abubakar Salihu to second the motion moved by Jenwe
The delegates warned that Chief Joel HamanjodaMadaki, the chairman who was duly elected cannot be removed unless through a court of competent jurisdiction.
They (delegates) maintained that Chief Joel Madaki and the state Secretary Barrister A.T. Shehu remains chairman and secretary respectively as their alleged suspension by the National Working Committee [NWC] for one month is null and void. To them Madaki and A T Shehu are non-negotiable officials of our great party.
Speakers after speakers during the delegates meeting recalled the role played by the current PDP Exco in managing the party successfully only for the national chairman Adamu Muazu who sort through the back door to destabilize the party by the illegal dissolution of the state exco which was turned into the suspension of the state Chairman and state secretary for one month.
Alh. Musa Bubakari Kamale, who spoke on behalf of the Northern delegates, warned the party leadership in Abuja to respect themselves and stop dancing to the gallery as the State PDP will not accept the one month suspension placed on Chief Madaki and the state Secretary, Bar AT. Shehu.
The ALGON Chairman of the PDP in the twenty one LGA of Adamawa state, Alh.Kawu Gawi said if the Chairman Chief Joel Madaki is suspended then the entire PDP 21 Local Governments Areas Chairmen will move en-mass to another political party as a mark of solidarity with the chairman.
Alh.Jingi Rufai, the state vice Chairman to Chief Joel Madaki also speaking called on the people of Adamawa state to ignore the alleged suspension of Chief Joel Madaki and Bar A.T. Shehu, which he describes as the ranting’s of ants as only a competent court of jurisdiction can suspend the Adamawa state PDP executives or even the chairman and said the chairman will preside over the scheduled PDP Primaries in Adamawa state and “nobody will suspend anybody” he concluded.
Alh.Jingi Rufai called on all the delegates to remain calm and wait to file out to vote the person of their choice during the primaries that will be presided over by Chief Joel Hamanjoda Madaki as any primaries that Joel Madaki did not presides is null and void.
The State Woman Leader Captain Altine Umar while speaking called on the party delegates to ignore those fanning the embers of destruction in Adamawa PDP and urged them to identify the evil men with clay feet and distance themselves from such personalities who are sowing into confusion by their sheer determination for the Adamawa State PDP to remain backward.
A onetime commissioner for information Hon Zadock Agishi said the National Working Committee of the PDP does not mean well for the state exco therefore any decision taken by the NWC concerning Adamawa will no longer be respected hence they are bent on desterbilizing the PDP by causing chaotic atmosphere by the unwarranted suspension of the chairman and secretary.
After the vote of confidence the state party Chairman, Chief Joel Hammanjoda Madaki said he remained the Adamawa State PDP Chairman and he cannot be removed unless through a court of law.
“I can only be by a competent court of law; things are falling apart for them in Abuja as I remain the still PDP chairman of Adamawa State.” Madaki declared
He thanked all delegates who came from all the Local Government Areas of the state to give him the vote of confidence said he remained grateful to them and the Adamawa state House of Assembly and the Governor Barrister Bala James Nggilari who have remained determined to be on the side of truth
