Adamawa Has Not Seen Meaningful Development In The Last 50 Years That Is Worth 100 Million Naira – SSG

Yola-in-Adamawa-StateThe Secretary to Adamawa state Government (SSG), Dr Umar Bindir said the state has never experience any solid development that is worth up to 100 million for the past Fifty years.

Bindir said on Friday in Yola when a delegation of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) visited him in his office to commiserate with the state over flood disaster that ravaged seven LGAs in the state.

 

He added that, the Administration of Governor Jibrila is serious about his  Business of changing all phases of the state with his agenda  as ” Bindow for Social Change “(BSC) for the benefit of  all the people in the state.

“Is Unfortunate this Governor who is thinking of business is being confronted with natural disasters, insurgency and all myriads of challenges scuttling his effort? With his Agenda Bindow for social change I am sure there is going to be definite growth in all phases of the state “. Bindir said

Bindir also lament that because of the unfortunate incidence of attacks done by Boko Haram, many organizations whose identities are not known to the Government have turned the state into a business venture.

According to him these organizations come in the name of humanity services at any time without prior notice and get whatever they want without contacting us, Managing insurgency is becoming a business they truly want the Federal government to intervene and their effort is over stretching the functionality of the government and NEMA.

He prayed that Insurgency and all form of militancy will be a thing of the past and every IDPs will go back to their home

He advised that there should be the dredging of River Gongola as the state Government will always strive to meet and achieve the needs of those affected by natural disasters as well as manmade disasters.
