Four days after a Federal High Court in Abuja reserved 15th January for judgment in a case filed by former Governor Bala James Ngilari and 32 days after reserving judgement in a case filed by Dr. Umar Ardo, an Adamawa chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the Court of Appeal in Abuja, both seeking the completion of former governor Ngilari’s tenure, universalreporters247.com findings reveal that powerful unseen hands are bent on making sure that both Judgements favour the incumbent Governor Umaru Bindow Jibrilla.

Sources close to Atiku and Governor Bindow reveal that it is Dr. Ardo’s case that they are more worried of because it is well argued and at a higher court. The sources further state that the duo have vowed to let no stone unturned to see the Court of Appeal’s judgment does not go in favour of the appellant. In fact, the delay in the Appeal Court to give date for Judgement in Ardo’s suit 32 days after adoption of briefs is attributed to the scheming of these two as they are believed to be doing everything under the sun to penetrate the courts.

As gathered from sources within Adamawa Government House, Governor Jirilla Bindow is making covert moves along with Atiku to ensure that the cases go in favour of the Governor. Information available to this medium indicates that the former Vice President is determined that the two cases go in Bindow’s favour no matter what it takes and no matter how much it may cost. To this end, universalreporters247.com learnt that Governor Bindow and the former Vice President travelled together yesterday to Kaduna to make contacts with senior retired Judges all in a bid to reach out and cut deals to get favourable judgments.

The source says: “Atiku’s stance on making sure that Bindow gets the Judges’ favour is to further his hold on the current Adamawa state government. Please take note that Atiku, who initially opposed Bindow for the APC Guber Ticket, has lately schemed out and displaced Nyako to be the new Godfather to the Governor”.

“In fact, virtually everything that now happens in the Bindow Government suggests that Atiku is at the center of it. For instance, Atiku has his daughter as the Commissioner for Health and Yayaji Mijinyawa, his arc candidate for the governorship, as a Commissioner for Land and Survey”.

More so, it was learned by this medium that more than half of the Commissioners in the state were listed down by Atiku. Even the first two road contracts to be awarded in the state were the contracts for construction of the road to Adamawa Beverages, Atiku’s company that produces Faro water and Faro Juice; and Yola bye-pass road leading to Atiku’s multibillion dollar American University of Nigeria. Not surprisingly, only yesterday the former Vice President was quoted as saying that Bindow’s achievements in the past seven months surpass that of Govs. Boni and Nyako put together.

“However, Adamawa is waiting to see whether Atiku and Bindow will be able to get their way through the courts given the new wind of change currently blowing across all strata of our national life”, the source concluded.
