The government disclosed this in a press statement signed and issued to Journalists in Yola, the state capital on Thursday by the Commissioner of Information, Honourable Ahmad Sajoh and stated that the resolution was taken after the state security committee meeting held at the Government House to evaluate the unfortunate bomb blast of Tuesday.
As communicated in the statement that the security meeting held comprises of all service commanders in the state and the meeting was presided by the Governor of the state, Senator Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow.
The statement also stated that following the recent bombings unleashed on the state, the government is forced to place restrictions in the operations of relaxation joints and night-live activities as may be dictated by security agencies in the state.
According to the statement, “there will be a stakeholders security training programme to be coordinated by security agents on the 23rd of November, 2015 and state security summit to take place on the 10th of December, 2015”
The statement has further called on the general public to be mindful of unnecessary gatherings and congestions such as viewing centres, cinema houses, banks and sporting areas.
It hereby directed heads of Educational institutions to ensure the safety of the students in their schools by putting extra measures to ensure improve security in all schools in the state adding that the committee has also promised to establish a security telephone lines so that the public can report security matters.
However the statement commended the taken by religious leaders in churches and Mosques and called on them to continue with such measures without relaxing them.
“The government appeals for understanding the public since these measures are just temporary meant to stabilize the security situation” It stated.
