Adamawa Government Denies  Abduction Of Female School Students

A Press statement issued by the commissioner of Information and strategy of Adamawa State government, Comrade Ahmad Sajoh refuting a purported story of the abduction of female school students.

According to the letter Government of Adamawa state wishes to state categorically that there is no such abduction anywhere within the state and that the security agencies particularly the police have confirmed that no such occurrences took place anywhere within the state.

“This is totally false and Mischievous, the government of Adamawa state wishes to reiterate its avowed commitment to ensure the protection of the lives and safety of all citizens within the state.

“The Governor frowns at any attempt to discourage Adamawa indigenes from sending their wards to school through such dangerous rumour.

“For the avoidance of doubt, no such incidence took place anywhere in Adamawa state and anyone peddling such false information is indeed and enemy of the state.” the statement reads

The letter also stated that Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow received the fake news with utter shock and deep displeasure, saying that:

“The news is not only false and misguided but unfortunate considering the spirited efforts made by the Government in ensuring that there is peace and normalcy returns to all part of the state especially with regards to abduction of persons.”

The letter further state that such unfortunate information and unfounded misinformation is capable of creating fear and apprehension among the people of the state, and may deter people from sending their children and wards to school.
