Governor Ahmadu hmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at bringing fresh energy into his administration as it enters the final phase of its tenure.
The development was announced in a statement issued by Humwashi Wonosikou, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary.
According to the statement, the reshuffle is intended to introduce new ideas into governance and broaden the administrative experience of members of the State Executive Council.
As part of the changes, Sali Idris was moved from the Ministry of Livestock to the Ministry of Agriculture, while David Jatau was redeployed to head the Ministry of Livestock.
Muhammad Chubado was also transferred from the Ministry of Energy Development to the Ministry of Health and Human Services.
In addition, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Usman Lamurde, has been directed to oversee the Ministry of Livestock pending the return of Jatau, who is currently on sick leave.
The governor also assigned the newly appointed commissioner, Leader Leneke, to the Ministry of Information and Strategy following the resignation of James Iliya, who stepped down to pursue the nomination for the Demsa State Constituency seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
