- Caution Governor Elect On Impunity, Corruption
A group knows as the All Progressive Congress Grassroots Alliance, Bauchi state chapter have urge the outgoing governor Yuguda to justify about N500 billion collected from FG as grant in eight years without any project worth N10 billion to show
Just as the group also caution the newly elected governor Barrister Mohammed. Abubakar against instituting impunity and corruption as was witnessed during Yuguda’s administration
This was contained in a press statement made available to universalreporters247.com signed by Comrade Ali Ladan he said the state was brought to its knees and bankruptcy through misplacement of financial priorities
Ladan added that Yuguda must explain to the people what his administration ddid with the financial resources accrued to it regretting probing Mu’azu as priority on assumption of office.
The group had tackled Yuguda on nepotism especially in the areas of appointments saying some ministries like SUBEB is now a birth right of Yuguda’s clan including awards of juicy contract is base on god- fatherism
According to Ladan, Yuguda has used his influence as governor against the future of our dear state thereby frustrating the dream of our people to become a nationalist desperate to be elected as Nigeria president or Vice President.
The statement also cautioned Yuguda to emulate Theodore Orji of Abia state for dis engaging non-indigenes in order to create room for young graduates of the state when Yuguda is busy appointing non-indigenes into the affairs of government.
In the same vein, the newly elected governor of Bauchi state have be urge to toe a path of honour to end the culture of impunity and corruption on assumption of office to rekindle the hope of the people
The APC grassroots Alliance in a similar advice stress that impunity was the major challenges throughout the eight years of yuguda administration.
It therefore maintained that the election of the governor elect under the APC is aimed to restore the past glory of the people ravaged by poverty.
