The Public Relations Officer Contact & Mobilization Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) North-Central Plateau State Hon. Timkat Peter has urged president-elect of the All Progressives Congress (APC) His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu to make the secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) Contact and Mobilisation North-Central Hon Komsol Longgap for Ministerial Position when he is sworn into office on May 29th, 2023.
Timkat Plateau, who made the appeal in collaboration with the Progressives Volunteers for Tinubu/Shettima Plateau State Chapter, in an open letter to Tinubu obtained in Jos.
The group appealed to him not to forget the APC supporters who have been with him since from Primaries election that led to his emergence as president elect.
They congratulated Tinubu on his victory, Timkat Plateau urged President elect to ensure that his political appointments will place emphasis on those he knows better and who have shown meritorious service to the nation based on capacity, patriotism, ability, agility and rich experience.
Timkat Plateau also the State Coordinator of Progressives Volunteers for Tinubu/Shettima said in the letter, “Your Excellency, we write to appeal to your good office to not forget the APC supporters who have been with you for many years in this journey. The 30 years journey has not been easy but it’s now a reality. We thank the Almighty God for this victory.
“Your Excellency Sir, all those grass roots political support groups, intellectuals and professionals as well as those who were appointed in the PCC will appreciate if your valuable man in the person of Hon. Komsol Longgap consider for ministerial position from Plateau State.
“He is honest, competent, accountable, focused, positive, with a mission and vision as well as experience in politics and Government. He is grassroot rooted and great mobilizer. Furthermore he worked tirelessly with the PCC team in Plateau State and also many support groups to deliver the just concluded election which made you victorious, nobody knows the support groups better than him including Independent Campaign Council.
“As we have experienced in the past those who participated in the road to victory got presented as election material without being involved in the formation of the government, which we do know in your government that will never happen. Hon. Komsol Longgap contributed tremendously during your primaries election dispite beariers created by the incumbent governor who supported Ameachi.
“We hope the opportunity will be given to Hon. Komsol Longgap be appointed as Minister to His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from Plateau State. We are positively sure he will perform excellently and will carry all along. The APC as a party is on it kneel in Plateau State and we cannot afford to dish to any politician who have failed to carries people along.
“Hon. Komsol Longgap been a core loyalist of H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Considering the fact the role he played during and after the primary election in making sure that H.E Bola Ahmed Tinubu clinched the ticket. During the primary election, he stood and rallies round Plateau delegates 28 just to make sure Asiwaju would win the primary election when the governor denied access to delegates. Hon Komsol Longgap succeeded with 28 delegates from Plateau State that voted for H.E. Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“As the secretary of the APC presidential campaign council (PCC) North-Central He worked tirelessly for the party in the Zone and Plateau State. He was also familiar with the people that have worked for the success of the presidential election . It will be fair enough if he appoint as Minister from Plateau State.
