The Chairman of Southern Zone Reawakening Support Group, Coordinator of the benefitting Communities in Plateau State, Hon Sunday Naanma Dangrap has endorsed Governor Simon Bako Lalong candidacy for the southern senatorial district in the 2023 general elections.
He made this disclosure yesterday at the Shendam meeting held on Friday behind closed doors with stakeholders of the benefitting communities.
However, some of benefitting communities revealed why they have to pass a vote of confidence on Governor Simon Lalong’s leadership, saying it is due to his numerous projects executed for the benefit of vulnerable communities.
Dangrap pointed out that the Lalong projects through PSUBEP, FADAM111 ,Covid-19 intervention ,SDG, PLASMEDA are littered across the Plateau Southern senatorial district.
He disclosed that after their successful deliberation on Mr. Governor’s achievements they decided to pass a vote of confidence on the executive governor and endorsed him for the seat of Plateau southern senatorial district under the platform of the APC.
Dangrap reiterated that the meeting was attended by education secretaries, desk officers, local government workers forum, and school management committee across the southern zone where they agreed to have solidarity to organize a mega rally to drum support for him on the 26th December 2022 at his home town Ajikamai community of Shendam LGA .
He explained further that the group agreed to flag off the senatorial campaign to mobilize people to vote for competence devoid of any sentiment attach across the beneficiaries’ community.
Dangrap cautioned against the politics of blackmail and character assassination by some session of the group, urging people wisely vote for Lalong for the Senate seat.
