Bauchi State governor Bala Mohamed Abdulkadir has urged its citizens to desist from electing non-indigene as their governor in 2023 to come.
Governor Bala who advises its citizens while speaking to some politicians, traditional leaders, prominent people, and youth in his hometown Alkaleri local government area of the state today gives advice to the citizens of the state not to vote non-indigene if they want development.
The Governor particularly warned citizens of the state against voting for, especially those who came from neighboring countries but claimed indigenship of the state with the backing of some individuals.
Bala Mohammed who addressed PDP ward leaders in Alkaleri local government area of the state at an interactive session urged citizens of the state to desist from electing non-indigenes into elective positions especially the office of the Governor.
The Governor said by refusing to elect such people into power, will help in curbing incidences that lead to underperformance.
“Electing indigenes into elective positions would enable them be interacting with their constituents to solve their major challenges so as to meet their yearning and aspirations”, Bala explained.
He added that “I want to warn the people of Bauchi state against electing nonindigenes especially those coming from Cameroun as they don’t have anything to offer for your development”.
The Governor stressed that “If they can come for business, we will welcome them but not for politics, because politics is for people who know the values of their people”, the governor further said.
While appreciating the PDP ward leaders in the Alkaleri local government area for their support to his administration, the governor enjoined them to sustain the tempo for the success of the PDP-led government in the state.
According to him, despite the numerous achievements recorded by his administration, the opposition has refused to come to terms with the reality on the ground, but resorted to a vain negative campaign of calumny against the government and his person.
He assured that his administration will do more for the overall development of the state because he was elected to work and will continue up to the end of his stewardship.
Speaking Earlier, PDP Chairman in Alkaleri local government, Alhaji Babayo reaffirmed the support and cooperation of his members to the Governor to enable him to achieve the desired objectives.
Alhaji Babayo said that the people of Alkaleri are proud to have their own son as the Governor of the state and will do everything possible to ensure that the governor succeeds in his quest to develop the state.
