About 606 Jigawa Student who sat for the National Business and Technical Examinations Board examination in Jigawa state science and technology schools in 2020 showed that 68 percent of them passed the examination.
This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of Science and Technical Board Alhaji Haladu Yakubu Ado in an interview with newsmen in Dutse.
He said 1,980 students from Science schools and technical schools also sat for the NECO exam in which out of that number, 1,604 students got five credits and above.
The secretary added that 81 percent of the students passed their exams, as he stated further that out of 990 students who sat for the WEAC exam in the state, 526 students got 5 credits and above including mathematic and English which represent 53 percent.
He assured that this year’s result will be better than last year, adding that last year was faced with COVID-19.
He called on the higher institution of learning to boost the quality of education.
