College Of Education Akwanga, A Cesspool Of Corruption As Staff Lives Above Their Earnings

Reliable Information from the College of Education, Akwanga, Nasarawa state has uncovered that another staff of the institution is under probe over extortion and defrauding of a female student named Blessing.
In a hand written letter of complaint addressed to the registrar, Blessing one of the victim has accused Musa Agwadu of defrauding her of over N30, 000 meant for registration and school fee.
The female student accused Agwadu of issuing her with fake examination card which she said prevented from writing examination.
Musa Agwadu, Migili by native who held from the same community with the female student, it has been alleged that has been siphoning money from the Girls father in that format.
The trouble started when the affected female student was prevented from writing examination.
This can of worms exploded barely three months when one of the staff from Geography Department was issued a termination over his misdeeds as sources said the estranged staff that was issued his termination letter has since dragged the institution to court for terminating his appointment.
Reliable sources told this medium that the said the embattled staff is about retiring from public service.
The Provost, Rebbeca Umar Isaac when contacted declined comment over the issue as she said the matter was before a probe panel and would not speak on the matter.
But she directed our reporter to contact the chairman governing council of the College, as at the time of filling this report, the institution’s chairman governing council, Idris Yahuza’s appointment like other three existing chairmen governing council’s appointment has been terminated.
The state commissioner of Education, Ahmed Tijjani Aliyu when contacted on phone said he is at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi attending to pressing issues.
“I’m aware of the hiccups at College of Education and stringent measures will be taken, said the commissioner.
