Senator Onawo Donates N5m Cash To Communities Ravaged By Windstorm In Nasarawa South

Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, The Senator representing Nasarawa South Senatorial district of Nasarawa State.

Onawo, who was at the scene of the windstorm sympathizes with Communities ravaged by the calamity,The Senator while at Agbashi donated N1m to the traditional ruler, The Otushohu of Agbashi.

Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo,PDP said the calamity is not available rather is from God and cannot be stopped by any immortal, Saying the amount was meant for Agbashi and Iponu communities.

While at the palace of Sangarin Awe, The headquarters of Awe Local Government, Senator Onawo donated N1m Cash to the monarch.

He in addition averred that the amount was meant to cushion the effect of windstorms that destroyed Awe Central mosque and other structures in and outside Awe.

The Senator also donated N1.5m to Aloshi and Keana communities in Keana Local Government, This brought the amount to N5m cumulatively.

Scores were rendered homeless in Nasarawa South Senatorial district, Universal Reporters Online can authoritatively confirm that one of the most hit communities in the southern zone is Aloshi.

During the visit to the various communities recently pleaded with the victims of the windstorm to see calamity as an act of God, Saying the little amount given to them was his widow’s might to cushion the effect of the windstorm.

He however added that more is expected from the National Emergency Management Agency, an agency of the Federal Government saddled with the responsibility of bringing succor to people in need.

Traditional rulers cut across the affected communities and thanked the senator for bringing succor to the people, The monarch of Aloshi, The Oshishe of  Oleshi , Muhammad Usman Agye said the visit of Senator Onawo was timely.

While at the palace of Sangarin Awe, The headquarters of Awe Local Government, The paramount ruler thanked the Senator for his immense contribution, especially at the trying moment when people are in need.
