The former speaker, Federal House of Representative Rt Hon Yabuku Dogara was Saturday envelope in tears following the demise of his junior brother late Barrister Istifanus Bala Gambar a retired controller of customs
This was just as Dogara tackled the Bauchi state government for the actualization of Sayawa chiefdom saying the creation of the chiefdom must be put in place at the appropriate time and lampoon detractors of subverting justice
Dogara who spoke in Tafawa Balewa during the funeral program of the late rtd controller of customs described it as a painful loss not only to Sayawa tribes but Nigeria as a whole
According to Dogara, the late Bambar is worthy of emulation and a trusted Sayawa son who sacrificed his life for Sayawa chiefdom and can be remembered in the community
The former speaker charges Sayawa to passionately emulating late Gambar in the struggle for Sayawa chiefdom despite intimidation, frustration, and incarceration of innocent citizens in Tafawa Balewa by the Bauchi state government
According to the Ex-Reps Speaker, peace can prevail only where there is tranquility, and inclusiveness in governance especially where traditional rulers play positive roles in the current democratic dispensation
He assured that the struggle for Sayawa chiefdom cannot be avoided and is not negotiable if all government wants to implement positive policies impactful to the Sayawa territory
Dogara had warned against any act of foul play by Sayawa detractors saying God is keen to fully watch culpable intimidation being meted out to Sayawa people for struggling for their separate chiefdom in Bauchi State
“Our community has been long denied of Sayawa chiefdom by successful government in Bauchi State but one day it must beckon like what happened in Israel” Dogara fumed
He therefore urged for peace and unity in Zaar Land as he cautioned against any move capable of unlawful act and wished the mourners a safe journey to their respective destinations
