80 year old ambassador of peace has charged politicians in the country to play politics according to tenets of the game.
Mama Matron Magaret Ononuju who disclosed this at the Hill station Hotel after receiving certificate for promoting peace and love in Plateau state by Orlu senatorial zone from Imo state Association of women’s wing, Jos branch.
Mama Ononuju expressed satisfaction with the certificate of honoured which will spur her to do more.
She added that the association was founded way back in 1973 were many of their members are death some left the association.
Mama Ononuju explained “we kept on contributing toward moving the association forward while other member’s backslash when plateau was in serious mess.
Mrs Ononuju said the certificate of honoured given to her was a well deserve one because she has been one of the pioneer who kept fate with the structure of building peaceful coexistence among the Igbo nationality in plateau state.
She called on all the women in the country to caution their husband and put in their best in promote mutual respect and hard work in strengthening peace.
According to her, the founding leaders of the association emphasis on how to promote peace in Nigeria.
Ononuju condemned the current Boko Haram killing of innocent Nigerians in Borno, Yobe; Adamawa states which have destroy the economic best the affected states.
She appealed to politicians in the country to play the game according to the tenets of democracy; we are calling people to be their brother’s keeper.
